Which Instrument Is It?

Goal Distinguish instruments using tempo and timbre clues.

1. Listen to the sound before looking at the screen.
2. Choose between two candidates and say why.
3. Check the answer and listen to the same sound once more with focus.

Remember the Sound Order

Goal Hear a short sequence and reproduce it from working memory.

1. Listen to three sounds all the way through without looking.
2. Press the pads in the order you remember.
3. Add one sound after success, or repeat the same length if it is hard.

If it is hard Instead of correcting the whole sequence, give the clue of finding the first sound again.

Hear the Sound Together

Goal Explain the relationships and feeling heard in a chord.

1. Listen and name the first note you noticed and the note that lingered.
2. Flip the card to see the actual notes and listen again.
3. Explain why it fits using pitch or feeling words.
