My Own Rhythm
An empty eight-beat sheet. A child draws a rhythm, then copies it onto the screen to hear it. The point is that what they made turns into sound.
How to use it
- Draw a rhythm symbol in each box. If drawing is hard, writing ta or ti-ti works too.
- Four boxes make one bar. Take a breath at the thick line.
- When it is finished, read it aloud and clap it.
- Play it on screen, and if they like it, give the rhythm a name.
