Goal Recall solfege names from staff positions.

1. Point to the note’s position on the staff.
2. Choose the solfege name, hear the answer, and sing it once.
3. Start on easy and move up after three correct answers.

If it is hard Stabilize the up-and-down reading motion before asking for speed.

From Score to Song

Goal Translate the order of a color score into actual notes.

1. Read the color score from start to finish before listening.
2. Play only the first four notes on the xylophone and compare with the song.
3. Add the next four notes to complete one phrase.

Check Notes by Ear

Goal Check and correct a symbol-read note on an instrument.

1. Find the four notes from the previous activity on the colored bars.
2. Play one note at a time and point to confirm the score order.
3. Find one mistake yourself and play the phrase again.
